Do you think that Councils and community members need to have a greater voice in planning and development decisions affecting their local area?
Yes, absolutely 100% agree. Our communities voice is key to the best development outcomes for the area.
What role should Councils play in protecting local heritage places from demolition or inappropriate development?
Council should play a key role in protecting local heritage buildings to be used for our community. We should advocate strongly to our State Government should any hertage buildings be considered for demolition.

Stronge advocacy, community engagement , adding additional levels of protection to the development act and making the appropriate decisions in the chamber.
We rarely see new places added to local heritage listings. Why do you think this is?
I think that the criteria used to determine a heritage building is why it is hard to add new buildings to the list. It would be good to add additional buildings for our buildings of significance.
