1. Do you think that Councils and community members need to have a greater voice in planning and development decisions affecting their local area?
   Yes, lack of consideration for street car parking, trees and open space

2. What role should Councils play in protecting local heritage places from demolition or inappropriate development?
   Informed on applications and responses from Council seriously considered by SCAP and DAP

3. How would you seek to improve protections for heritage places in your area?
   Demolition applications for heritage places and their neighbouring sites to be accepted seriously

4. We rarely see new places added to local heritage listings. Why do you think this is?
   Local heritage listings must be on buildings of architectural merit, anaesthetic style. Contemporary buildings must have a heritage listing for the future is this is a place of merit

5. How has the Planning and Design Code impacted on the heritage, amenity, and environment of your area? What changes would you seek to the Code?
   Demolition applications, street width considerations as per car parking, tree amenity. Marion Plains Zone reinstated, not General Neighbourhood.

6. What are the impacts of infill development in your area? What changes would you seek in the rules around infill development?
   Sufficient street trees and trees on private land Neighbour considerations. Return to Marion Plains zoning. car parking necessary with garages to be of a width to allow cars to park in them. Garages on application plans actually used for car parking, not gyms, storage, study.

7. Construction of new housing typically uses 30% labour and 70% materials. Renovation of existing housing stock typically uses 70% labour and 30% materials. What policy changes would you like to see made to encourage people to renovate, rather than demolish and build anew?
   Renovation priority, different development application fee structure

8. How should the community be informed and involved in decisions about new developments?
   sign on site, letterboxing and emailing of neighbourhood. Rating on quality, not size on block.

9. Do you think there is adequate tree canopy across your local government area?
   No, private trees being removed each week

10. How would you like to see significant and regulated trees in your area protected from removal?
    Yes, the rule that a house within 7 m of tree allows any amount of trees to be removed from private blocks

11. What involvement should Councils have in decisions about protecting or removing significant and regulated trees?
    totally involved by regulation

12. What actions would you advocate to slow or mitigate the impacts of climate change in your local government area?
    Tree planting, water retention, solar panels, climate resilience strategies, active transport

13. What issues are there with traffic and parking in your area?
    Fortunately my close neighbourhood is ok. Many residents have problems with car parking throughout this Ward

14. How could transport options be improved in your area?
    Continue shared pathways, street design strategies

15. What would your top three priorities be for improving planning policy and outcomes in your local government area?
    Reinstate Marion Plains Policy Zone
    Plan for cars in the streets
    tighten Development Code to do not allow such denseness
