What do you think Council's role is in protecting and conserving heritage?
To evaluate ,make a register & grade. Then to assist in restoration in any feasible way.
What measures and incentives do you support to protect and conserve local heritage?
Try to assist private rate payers .Help to remove red-tape & empower them in every way to complete restortations in a timely fashion .
What is the most important heritage protection issue in your local government area?
Preservation of our historical public buildings
What policies and programs will you advocate to protect and conserve heritage in your local area?
If elected I will revue current policies & make a decision with that information on board.
Do you support local Councils retaining development approval powers for projects over $3m in value?
At the moment I am undecided
Do you have any other thoughts about the protection of heritage in your Council area?
In my opinion I believe our council may be able to improve the way it interacts with people attempting to restore old heritage buildings.it is my personal experience that there may be a better way to interact with the public to achieve a smoother path to planning approval.
