What do you think Council's role is in protecting and conserving heritage?
Council's role should be in the area of Planning and Development protection of existing heritage listed properties and any property that is a significant building which would qualify under the guidelines of a heritage listed building.
What measures and incentives do you support to protect and conserve local heritage?
To maintain a register of proposed buildings and review the register on a regular basis
What is the most important heritage protection issue in your local government area?
The protection against developers trying to infringe on local property that has been earmarked for protection.
What policies and programs will you advocate to protect and conserve heritage in your local area?
I would support any policy or programme that conserves heritage which has been placed on a register or earmarked to be placed on a register.
Do you support local Councils retaining development approval powers for projects over $3m in value?
Yes i do.
Do you have any other thoughts about the protection of heritage in your Council area?
I have plenty of thoughts that need to be discussed face to face with members of the National Trust if and when i am in a position to do so.
