1. What do you think Council's role is in protecting and conserving heritage?
   Maintain and Update Local Heritage Register Make recommendations for listings on all heritage registers Make it well known that Council is the main local heritage protection authority Promote and provide funding for repairs and maintenance to listed items

2. What measures and incentives do you support to protect and conserve local heritage?
   Support heritage groups directly Provide funding and grant assistance for conservation, repair, and research projects Liaise with National Trust and State Authorities al all matters heritage

3. What is the most important heritage protection issue in your local government area?
   Complete update of all local heritage registers Ensure that Martindale Hall does not slip through the cracks into oblivion while no one takes the role of custodian Regular maintenance of local lookouts (like Neagles Rock), many of which have been neglected for years Make an attempt to recognise aboriginal heritage in the region

4. What policies and programs will you advocate to protect and conserve heritage in your local area?
   See above

5. Do you support local Councils retaining development approval powers for projects over $3m in value?
   Yes, but just because I don't trust the State Government

6. Do you have any other thoughts about the protection of heritage in your Council area?
